BOOK THE SESSION
Head to our online booking system and secure your spot with a $100 deposit — this comes off your total cost. At your appointment, once you've chosen your material and size, a further 50% of the balance is required. We recommend booking between 32 and 36 weeks, when your bump is at its fullest, though we can capture it beautifully at any stage. Expecting multiples? Book a little earlier. Found us last minute? Reach out directly — we'll do everything we can to fit you in.
BEFORE THE SESSION
No need for make-up or hair done — just show up as you are. Take off any jewellery and pop your hair up in a bun beforehand, so nothing gets in the way of your scan. For the best result, we recommend going without underwear during the scan; if you'd rather not, seamless, light-coloured underwear works well too. It's worth having a rough idea of the pose you'd love to capture, though we'll help you land on the perfect one together on the day.
THE SESSION
You'll be welcomed by Libby, Holly, or Marissa — all mums themselves. There is plenty of time to see, touch, and hold our collection of sample sculptures before we begin. We'll guide you through your pose options, and once you've found the one that feels right, the scan takes only a few minutes — you'll simply stand completely still while we capture you in a couple of minutes, using a camera, safe for both you and your baby.
THE CREATION
This is where craft takes over. Every sculpture is made entirely by hand, right here in Brisbane, by our team of mums, using only the best quality materials sourced from across Australia. It can't be rushed — a Classic piece takes roughly 3 months, a bronze cast around 5 — every stage given the time it deserves. When it's finished, your artwork is beautifully packaged and sent straight to your door.

Choose what works best for you — book a 45-minute appointment at our home studio within Maia Mothers Collective in Ascot, or catch us at one of our pop-up locations in Sydney or Melbourne. However you find us, the experience is the same: a warm welcome and a moment truly captured.
Your private 3D photography experience takes approximately 45 minutes. Have a think about your preferred pose beforehand, and we’ll guide you through the rest. During your appointment, you’ll also have the opportunity to view our samples and choose your preferred size, material and finish.
Mum or Dad + Bub sessions require a double booking and cannot be booked online. Please contact info@settandmaxe.com.au to arrange your session.
