Our Why.
I'm Libby — mum to two beautiful rainbow babies, and founder of SETT&MAXE.
My background began in interior architecture. During my second pregnancy in 2021, my career took a very personal turn.
During my pregnancy, I became obsessed with the idea of capturing myself — my body, my bump and the chapter I was living through — in a way that photographs simply couldn't. I wanted something tangible. Something I could hold, display and keep forever.
But when I looked for somewhere in Australia that could create a sculpture of my pregnant body, there simply wasn't a company doing it. That was the beginning of SETT&MAXE, and I'm incredibly proud to have been the first in Australia to offer specialised (bump) sculpting.
What started as a deeply personal desire to preserve my own pregnancy has grown into a business that has now spent five years capturing thousands of women (and men) across Australia — each with their own story, body and reason for wanting to preserve that moment.
We've had the honour of sculpting incredible women across Australia — from well-known faces to first-time mums — each trusting us with a moment they'll never get back.
While pregnancy sculptures remain at the heart of SETT&MAXE, I've always believed this work is about so much more than pregnancy. We create sculptures to honour pre- and post-mastectomy bodies, health journeys, personal achievements and the moments that fundamentally change us.
Five years on, I'm so proud of what SETT&MAXE has become.
We use the best technology available in the world, years of hands-on experience and a talented, close-knit team to create every piece. Our sculptures are proudly locally produced in Brisbane by a team of mums, where every stage of the process is carefully overseen.
We combine advanced 3D scanning technology with traditional hand-finishing and timeless bronze casting techniques. The result is a piece that is not only technically precise, but deeply personal and completely unique to you.
For me, SETT&MAXE has always been about preserving something that otherwise disappears.
A bump.
A body.
A transformation.
A milestone.
A version of yourself you never want to forget.
I know firsthand how powerful it is to have something tangible that takes you back to a moment in your life. That's why I created SETT&MAXE — and why, five years later, I still feel honoured every time someone trusts us to capture their story.
Kindest,
Libby
